Tasman V2 Drum Winches
No chain locker? No problem. The Tasman keeps the entire rode — high-strength MAX Warp rope plus galvanised chain leader — wound on a stainless drum. Push-button down, push-button up, nothing to re-flake. The new V2 adds a water-tight motor cover and a dual-speed motor that retrieves 15–20% faster without losing torque.

Worth knowing: a drum winch's pull is highest on the first layer of rope and reduces as the drum fills (the Tasman 8 pulls 1,000 kg on layer one, 350 kg on a full drum) — so rode length and boat size matter. Our selector accounts for it, and an intermediate roller keeps the rode feeding sweetly on longer bow runs.
Tasman V2 range
Each Tasman comes complete with rode: MAX Warp rope spliced to galvanised chain. The 6 series suits boats to about 7.5 m; the 8 series carries up to 150 m of rode for boats to about 11 m.
