Impeller finder

The Jabsco, Johnson and Sherwood charts in one searchable place — by part number, by the five measurements, or by engine. Built from the manufacturers' own tables, including their published cross-references.

Find your impeller

Three ways in — the part number on the old impeller or its box, the five measurements, or the engine it cools.

Searches our charted parts AND their published cross-references — OEM numbers (Volvo, Yanmar…) often hit via the replaces lists.

Measuring? Record diameter, width, shaft size, blade count and drive type — the replacement guide shows how.

Finder FAQs

Can I swap between Jabsco, Johnson and Sherwood impellers?

Where the charts cross-reference them, yes — Johnson's own identification guide prints 'replaces Jabsco …' against its part numbers, and the finder searches those published equivalences in both directions. One quirk to expect: cross-brand equivalents fit the same pump but can differ in blade count (Sherwood's 18200 runs 12 vanes where Jabsco's 17937-0001 runs 10) — that's by design, not a mistake.

I only have the engine's OEM impeller number — will that work?

Often, yes. The charts cross-reference common Volvo Penta, Yanmar, MerCruiser, Onan, PCM and Crusader OEM numbers to the pump-brand parts — type the OEM number into the part search and it matches against the replaces lists. If it doesn't hit, send it through anyway: we cross-reference the rest over the counter.

What do the -0001 and -0003 suffixes mean on Jabsco numbers?

Material. -0001 is neoprene — the engine-cooling compound — and -0003 is nitrile, the oil-resistant rubber for bilge and contaminated-water duty. Fitting nitrile where neoprene belongs (or vice versa) shortens impeller life, so match the suffix to the job, not just the dimensions.

How accurate are the measurements in the charts?

They're the manufacturers' published figures — and where the old charts contained printing errors, we've corrected them against the current factory tables and documented every fix. Worn impellers also measure slightly under nominal, which is why the size search carries a ±1.5 mm tolerance.
