Poly Flex Group is an Australian manufacturer of engine mounting systems, flexible disc couplings and steel shaft couplings, building everything in-house in Brisbane since 1981 — the business began when founder Brian Gagen needed a coupling for his own boat and, finding nothing suitable, made one. Poly Flex builds its mounts from heat-cured polymer alloys — lightweight, oil and fuel resistant, with high stretch for shock absorption — with corrosion-protected metalwork, engineered for controlled thrust and lateral deflection under propulsion load. A rudder bearing system of upper and lower bearings joined by an epoxy tube rounds out the range.
