Capstans
Simple, low-cost anchor recovery on smaller boats; docking muscle and line hauling on bigger ones. Maxwell capstans run from the 5.7 kg AnchorMax to the flush-deck Retractable Vertical Capstan that mirrors into the deck when not in use — all with snag-free fluted AISI 316 drums that haul from any direction.
AnchorMax
An extremely high power-to-weight vertical capstan for boats 5–10 m (max 4 t) — 386 kg of pull from a 5.7 kg unit that fits without dismantling, and doubles as a pot hauler or davit winch.
VC1000
The fluted stainless classic: 700 kg pull for anchor recovery on smaller boats, docking-line muscle on larger craft, with gearbox/motor positions for virtually any installation — hydraulic available.
RVC retractable
A mirror-polished drum that sits flush with the deck until you need it. One button raises it, reverse retracts it — 680 kg (RVC1500) to 1,135 kg (RVC2500), with 4500 and 6000 versions available.
Stern capstan rule: when pairing a stern capstan with your anchor windlass, Maxwell uses one size smaller drive — or at minimum 50% of the windlass's pull rating. We'll match the pair for you.
