Savage water-cooled exhaust manifolds
Savage casts its water-cooled exhaust manifolds mostly in LM6 aluminium — an alloy chosen for corrosion resistance in the wet-exhaust environment — with matching cast exhaust elbow outlets, plus a limited fabricated range in hot-dip galvanised steel where the application calls for it. Together with a Savage heat exchanger they close the cooling loop on inboard petrol and diesel conversions.

Why aluminium manifolds rather than cast iron?
Weight and corrosion. LM6 aluminium resists the wet-exhaust environment that eats cast iron from the inside, and saves serious weight high in the engine bay. Savage pairs the manifolds with cast elbow outlets, and offers hot-dip galvanised fabricated units for the duties that suit steel.

That's a common reason boats come to us. Between the cast range and Savage's fabrication ability, obsolete manifolds on older inboards can often be replaced or reproduced. Send photos and measurements of what's on the engine and we'll take it from there.
