Savage tube bundles, custom & spares
A heat exchanger's tubes wear out long before its shell does. Savage manufactures aftermarket replacement tube bundles and intercooler bundles — for its own units and, made to sample, for other makes — which turns a corroded exchanger back into a serviceable one for a fraction of replacement cost. The same workshop builds combination heat-exchanger/tank units, marine condensors and fuel coolers, and O-rings, seals, horseshoe mounts and remote header tanks keep existing units in service.

Where these earn their keep
- Re-tubing tired heat exchangers (any brand, made to sample)
- Marine condensors and fuel coolers
- Combination exchanger / header-tank units
- Service parts: O-rings, nylon washers, rubber horseshoe mounts, remote header tanks
The materials, always
Nickel-plated copper shells, 90/10 cupro-nickel tube bundles, bronze O-ring-sealed end caps and zinc anode protection - the materials specification is the product.
Luxfords is Savage's Australian distributor - named on Savage's own export page - stocking the MK-series exchangers, oil coolers and service parts in Mornington with sizing help and cross-referencing at the counter.
Owners ask
Can Savage re-tube a heat exchanger from another manufacturer?
Yes - aftermarket bundles are made to sample. Send the old bundle (or the unit) and Savage manufactures a matching replacement in 90/10 cupro-nickel. It's routinely cheaper than a new exchanger, and the shell, which rarely wears, keeps working.
What service parts should I keep aboard?
End-cap O-rings and a spare zinc anode cover the routine items - the anode is the sacrificial part and checking it seasonally is the single best habit for exchanger life. We stock O-ring kits, nylon washers, horseshoe mounts and remote header tanks for the range.
Stock & sizing from the Australian distributor
Send the engine details, the old unit's shell numbers, or photos with a tape measure in frame - we'll match the Savage part and quote from Mornington stock.
