About the VH4.80
The Vetus VH4.80 is the most powerful engine in the Vetus range available through Luxfords, delivering a strong 80 HP at 4,000 RPM. Built on the same proven H-Line platform as the VH4.65, the VH4.80 shares the counter-balanced shaft design that sets the H-Line apart for vibration and noise reduction.
The intercooled, four-cylinder engine uses a dual-circuit freshwater cooling system with integrated heat exchanger, seawater-injected exhaust bend, and optional keel cooling. The self-bleeding fuel system and high-output 115-amp alternator are standard. Like the VH4.65, the VH4.80 maintains an extremely favourable power-to-weight ratio while keeping fuel consumption remarkably low for an engine of this output.
The VH4.80 is the engine of choice for larger cabin boats, substantial sailing vessels, and workboat applications where reliable power delivery is essential. Luxfords can advise on gearbox selection, propeller matching, and installation requirements to ensure you get the most from this capable engine.
